8/2021: 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid – The Tesla Model S Plaid is a game changer. The car runs 9 second 1/4 miles stock! This is ridiculous! It will be interesting how other car manufacturers keep up with it. Yes, you can build a 9 second car less than $130,000 but it will be extremely hard to carry four adults, luggage, and drive it over 300 miles before needing to stop to “refuel.” The other thing is it does not matter what elevation you are at – the times will be almost identical.
